Today, living and working in the historic coastal town of Bridport, Dorset, she has transitioned into a prolific fine artist, channeling a lifelong mastery of composition into deeply personal, evocative painting. Her artistic path took a profound and life-altering turn following a major stroke. In the wake of this event, painting emerged not just as a continuation of her creative life, but as a vital, self-taught rebirth and a therapeutic act of translation.

Working predominantly in acrylics, her practice is fueled by a pursuit of awe. Her vibrant canvases, particularly her compelling portraiture, bridge the ancient and the modern, drawing inspiration from the raw, elemental power of Paleolithic cave art, the mystery of cetacean life, and the enduring strength of indigenous cultures. During a significant, six-month hospital recovery period, she founded and led an innovative art club, introducing drawing and music to create a sanctuary of communal healing and expression for patients.

Upon returning home to Dorset, she recognized a vital need for local representation and connection, leading her to establish Art Ability—a grouBridport-based art collective dedicated to elevating and supporting disabled artists.
